Is it
un-American to buy an American-made gas guzzler
Thursday,
October 05, 2006
I scan a lot of
blogs, and there are many in the U.S. that believe
it is un-American to buy anything but an American
made automobile. Somehow driving a gas-guzzler
that requires oil from foreign governments that
fund - directly or indirectly - terrorism against
the U.S. isn't a problem. Considering that the
U.S. economy is now terribly dependent upon cheap
oil, that a huge military presence exists to
protect America's oil interests which costs
billions and billions of taxpayer dollars, and
that gas guzzling funds terrorism against the
U.S., isn't it un-American to buy a gas guzzler,
even if it is American made? I'll take a Japanese
hybrid car over an American-made gas-guzzler any
day.
